Project update 1/2023

The NewSETS team wishes all a happy new year and celebrates successfully meeting the project’s halfway mark. In the first half, 2022, the team carried out background work. During the upcoming year, the team expects to publish a set of publications based on previous project work.

The publication efforts in 2023 will include at least two high-level journal papers, plus conference papers, whitepapers and theses. Since the last update, the first NewSETS scientific project paper was submitted for review.

At the end of November, the NewSETS team got together and visited Polar Night Energy's “sand battery” site in Tampere, Finland. See pictures of the visit below.

Brief NewSETS project updates such as this are posted at the beginning of every second month. The next update is due in March 2023.
